Google Chrome 72: Google Chrome 72 for Android. A new version of Google Chrome is on its way to all users of Google’s mobile browser. The latest update of Chrome for Android brings us version 72 of the browser, which from next week will begin its deployment on major desktop platforms, a few days after making the leap to the mobile version.
The update has been announced, as usual, through the official blog Chrome Releases , and it lists all the news that today reach the millions of people using Google’s browser on their Android terminals.
Chrome 72 comes to Android with privacy improvements
This update comes shortly after the browser introduced voice searches in its mobile version , a novelty that had been requested for some time. On this occasion, yes, the improvements and changes are focused on improving the privacy of people using Chrome , and not so much in providing visual or functional news.
The first of the announcements announced is a change that affects the notification responsible for allowing the control of multimedia content while it is playing. By default, every time a video or audio from a web page is played through Chrome, the control notification shows the name of the web page, the domain and an image related to the content, extracted directly from the page . From now on, however, if the multimedia content has begun to be played from an incognito tab, both the web name and the thumbnail and domain will remain hidden. Instead, only the playback controls appear next to the text “A website is playing content.”
The other change is a new option introduced in the browser settings, within the “Google Assistant in Chrome” section , which currently does not seem to be much use. At the moment, the integration of the assistant with the browser is quite limited, but everything points to this could change with future versions of Chrome.
The news, which in this version are not too many, start arriving today from all users of Chrome for Android. To enjoy them, you only have to update to the latest version of the browser through Google Play.
