Best Photo Album Apps 2019 – For Android & iPhone

Best Photo Album Apps: Photography on the smartphone is fashionable. It is said that we all have a good camera in our pocket, and that means that millions of photographs are generated every day. Organizing them is not easy, so … how to do it?

The Best Photo Album Apps for You

There are many applications that allow us to organize our photographs for Best Photo Album Apps, and today we will talk about the most important ones.

And watch out, because they do not stay only in that phase of organization: also edit, apply filters or share them with our contacts are functionalities that are usually included. And of all those that exist, which one is the best?

The services: many and very good

Which service to choose? This is the big question. We will review the main services to organize the photos on the mobile, with a brief description of its most remarkable features:

1. Google Photos

The last to arrive a few weeks ago, but with a great look and no doubt designed to make war. Google Photos is designed to organize your entire photographic life, uploading images and videos to your Google services folders with Best Photo Album Apps.

Inside you can find unlimited storage, as long as you allow Google to compress your photos according to their algorithms.

It also has the advanced search according to terms (for example if you search for ‘soccer’ images related to the sport will be shown, even if they are not categorized as such), location, organization according to capture times and much more. We have already analyzed it, and of course, it has left us with a very good taste in the mouth.

2. OneDrive

Microsoft’s proposal is included in its services in the cloud: OneDrive has changed a lot in recent times, becoming a clear and very interesting option.

Its use is simple and allows us to back up our photos with Best Photo Album Apps, all with 15 GB of initial storage. Also, a temporary line of captures, a system of manual albums and another of automatic labels are added.

3. Dropbox

Dropbox started being the king of cloud storage, and for a long time allows to save our photos with Best Photo Album Appsto our virtual hard disk automatically.

The ease of the process (install your app on our smartphone) and the possibility of having the files available on our PC (if we have synchronized the folder, something usual) are its virtues.

Along with Dropbox came Carousel a year ago, being a service intimately linked to the photographic world that will provide us to have a timeline of the stored photos, as well as assign them to albums or share them with other users.

Its usability is tremendously simple, and if you want to store your photos with Best Photo Album Apps in the cloud to store them there and share them online, it is, of course, a great option.

4. Flickr

It is perhaps the most veteran of which we speak today, although it has not gone through good times. Flickr reinvented itself with a new version in September 2017, much more visual and daring. The best, which allows hosting up to 1 TB of data. Yes, you read correctly, terabytes.

It is a complete option in the sense in which it allows you to create albums, add tags to photographs, share them, add them to groups or of course comment on them, all with that interface that I have to say I love it.

Your app for smartphones allows you to automatically upload the captures so you can always have them available on the network, and also make edits through filters, cuts or other features.

5. Facebook

Facebook is the social network par excellence, and within it, we find a section of Photos Best Photo Album Apps – it is not the main one of the web, but there it is – in which you can store the captures that we make with the phone.

The service is not the most advanced on the market, but it allows you to save a copy of your captures, assign photos in albums and, above all, tag people who appear in them to share them with your contacts and who can comment.

It is a service that has evolved little in recent times, but it works.

6. Apple iCloud

Just as Google has in Pictures its default option in Android, Apple iCloud is for iOS users. Ideal synchronization with Mac OS X if you have one of their computers and a very elegant way to present all data and its behavior in mobile systems.

iCloud has the virtue of working very well with iOS, although the disadvantage of being exclusive to it and being very limited regarding capacity, only 5 GB for free accounts.

7. PictureLife

A stranger but it works extraordinarily well. PictureLife has automatic synchronization from your computer or your phone, 8 GB of free storage (more affordable plans), geolocation of photos from your smartphone, also a temporary line and, of course, the creation of albums.

A very interesting feature is the possibility to import photos from Instagram or Dropbox so that with a couple of clicks we will have them in PictureLife. It also allows you to easily and comfortably edit the photographs, once they are uploaded to your service, as well as share them with another user or via email.

8. Pictures

Pictures are another redefinition of the gallery concept. Pictures is a quick gallery with a calendar view to quickly access your photos by dates, with a location filter and album organization.

Its interface is based on use by gestures and boasts a very elegant design.

9. F-Stop Media Gallery

This application covers a wide range of users, from amateur to professional. F-Stop Media Gallery is the only Android application capable of recognizing the metadata of each image that other applications or programs modify such as Lightroom or Aperture.

It allows maintaining the labels and classifications that are created outside the application. Of course, it also has an organization by folders and chronological order like the rest of the galleries.

10. QuickPic Gallery

Sometimes the simplest is the best. A very simple gallery that contains all the folders of the device. Within each one, the photos are ordered chronologically.

In the side menu, we can sort all the photos of the device by clicking on Moments.  We can also enjoy a Cheetah Mobile cloud backup or connect with our favorite cloud service.

QuickPic is a very light and fast application in which we can search easily and quickly between our photos. You can exclude folders from the main screen and even protect them with a password.

11. Focus

This may be one of the most powerful gallery apps for Android. With only 12 MB of weight, with Focus you can label your photos to keep them organized.

You can use the predefined labels that the application has or add our own (premium option). Being able to visualize GIFs is an option that not many galleries offer but that for Focus is not a problem.

It has a dark theme so as not to detach your retina at night. It is compatible with Muzei Live Wallpaper, you can protect folders with password or fingerprint, and of course, you will also be able to dive in chronological order between your photos.

12. Gallery (MyRoll Gallery)

His real name is MyRoll Gallery, but in Spanish, they have translated it into a gallery. It is the first gallery with support for Android Wear.

You can sort the photos by events or dates and can choose the best photos of your gallery and show them so you can remember the best moments of your trips.

Which to Choose?

Given all available services is not a simple question, of course. And we can add complexity even if we take into account that each one has its priorities, uses different operating systems and looks for different things.

In the first place, the question to which we must respond is where we want to store the photographs. The services that we have talked about here mix different possibilities when saving our photographs, most of them allowing privacy and with the possibility of sharing them with other users, or through email.

The interface can be a differentiating point, and very characteristic of each of the services. Systems like Carousel, Flickr or PictureLife have beautiful interfaces to show a gallery with everyone with whom we want to share the photos, while others provide a much simpler and less showy visualization.

In the above-mentioned services, we also find a clear difference: some allow a simple edition of the photograph, usually cuts, color adjustments or pre-established filters. This possibility is for many priorities since it allows to improve with very few steps the initial captures.

We must also take into account the storage space available, where Flickr (with 1 TB) and Google Photos (unlimited if we use a compression system) are the kings. With the volume of photographs that we generate daily, this is a very important parameter. Along with space, the cost associated with increases in storage.

Finally, the compatible platform: Android and iOS – except for the case of iCloud, only for Apple – are the systems in which all the services are. For other platforms such as Windows Phone the options are more limited, and much more so for the others.

It is highly recommended to take a look to see what different services and applications offer, try them for a few days taking advantage of the fact that they all have free subscriptions, simply by registering. And if they convince you, use them thoroughly. There are also many users who store their photographs in several places at once, to have several backup copies in case one of them fails.

Be that as it may, there are many options out there to save, organize and share our photographs, and to choose one is a complex but not impossible task. Now it’s your turn, what is your favorite service to organize the photos of your smartphone?
